Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Clearview different from other treatment programs?
Customer satisfaction. We’ve worked hard to listen to our former clients and make changes that add to both comfort and effectiveness. As a result, we have received the highest rating by the Mental Health Corporations of America, Inc., which represents 27 similar treatment facilities across the country. We pledge to continue to listen to our clients and adjust our program for maximum effectiveness.
Do you treat only dependencies involving alcohol or drugs?
No, although that remains the primary focus of our treatment program. We can apply some of the same treatment principles for clients who suffer from non-chemical addictions such as eating disorders, gambling or shopping, in addition to their chemical dependency. However, clients will not be admitted unless they have a chemical dependency.
If I have a separate psychological condition, such as clinical depression or a bi-polar disorder, in addition to a dependency issue, can I still participate in the Clearview Recovery program?
Absolutely. Clearview Recovery has the capability to treat what we call dual diagnoses: individuals who in addition to their dependency have a secondary condition. Many times this other condition is directly related to the dependency, and so should be part of the overall treatment program. We have both the staff and the expertise to treat both conditions.
Will I be able to stay in contact with my family?
Yes, you can – we strongly encourage family visits during a client’s stay. And, to the extent that other family members may be affected by a client’s dependency, we also offer counseling opportunities for families to help them understand the changes their family member is undergoing during treatment, and how they can help once the client completes the treatment program.
What happens after I complete my treatment program?
Graduation from Clearview does not mean the end of our involvement in a client’s recovery. Recovery is a long road and our program is only the beginning. That is why we sponsor a support group for Clearview “alumni” that meets every Wednesday evening to help individuals continue on the path they’ve begun. Clients have the option to enroll in Clearview's extended treatment program, after completing primary thirty-day treatment, for those clients wishing to address childhood and adult traumas as well as traumas caused by active addiction.
What are the costs and payment options involved in the Clearview treatment program?
We understand how costly dependency treatment can be. That’s why we work diligently to provide the most affordable and comprehensive rates possible. Those rates, as well as payment options and possible insurance coverage, will differ depending on each client and their particular treatment needs. We strongly encourage potential clients or their families to call us toll-free at (800) 845-8918 for more information about financial arrangements.
What should I bring with me?
  • Identification: you will need to bring one of the following forms of I.D.: picture identification, social security card, voter's card, or birth certificate.
  • Clothing: Regular t-shirts, walking shorts, blue jeans, jogging pants, and sweat pants are permissible. In addition, shoes and undergarments are required. Shorts more than three inches above the knee, t-string t-shirts, stretch tank tops, miniskirts, tight pants or crop tops are NOT allowed. Clothing depicting sex, drug or alcohol related scenes or advertisements are inappropriate clothing while in treatment.
  • Money and Valuables: You will be responsible for your spending money. However, leave your valuables at home. Any valuables brought with you will be your responsibility.
  • General Things: Bring black ink pens only, paper and folder for your paper work. Envelopes, stamps and paper may be brought to write letters to family and friends. But most importantly, bring your toiletries. No perfume or cologne with alcohol is permitted. Although linens are provided you may want to bring your own. We do not allow cell phones so calling cards are recommended.
  • Cars, Trucks and/or Motorcycles: NO personal vehicle is allowed on the premises while in primary treatment. To have a vehicle while in extended treatment, you must show a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. This privilege may be limited for therapeutic reasons.
